Hoffman v. Blattner Energy, Inc.: U.S. District Court Judge Dolly M. Gee Certifies the Case as a Class Action

Justice Law Corporation has obtained Class Certification for the Overall Class, including Meal Period Subclass, Overtime Subclass, Minimum Wage Subclass, Wage Statement Subclass, and Terminated Employee Subclass.

On June 15, 2016, U.S. District Court Judge Dolly M. Gee issued her decision after taking the matter under submission on March 11, 2016. Judge Gee certified six of the nine classes including the Overall Class of “all current and former non-exempt employees of Defendants who worked on construction projects in California and were paid on an hourly basis from September 24, 2010 to the present.” Judge Gee also certified six subclasses, including the Meal Period Subclass, Overtime Subclass, Minimum Wage Subclass, Wage Statement Subclass, and Terminated Employee Subclass. The Court did not certify the On-duty Meal Break Subclass, Recovery Period Subclass, or the Reimbursement Subclass.
