Families Forward Learning Center

Families Forward Learning Center provides free education and social services to low-income families with children from birth to five years old. Serving the Pasadena area since 1961, the services are based on a two-generation learning model that empowers both parents and children to gain knowledge and skills that improve outcomes for the entire family. In so doing, Families Forward Learning Center ensures ensure that children in the program are safe, healthy and developmentally on-track, while enhancing parents’ skills, literacy and self-sufficiency so that they can be active participants and advocates for their children’s education. Justice Cares sponsored 14 families from the Families Forward learning. We wanted to stay in alignment with their mission of supporting the outcomes of the entire family, not just the children. Each member of the students family received a gift from their wish list and essential household goods and $50 grocery cards. In the continued mission, Justice Cares has continued to sponsor back to school needs for the center, students and staff.
