Kaya Van Dyke

Attorney at Law

Kaya Half Body

Kaya is an attorney at Justice Law Corporation who represents workers with care, focus, and a strong commitment to social and economic justice. She approaches her work with the goal of empowering employees through clear advocacy, legal education, and practical problem-solving.

Kaya earned her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law, where she specialized in Public Interest Law and Policy and Critical Race Studies. While at UCLA, she held leadership roles in the Race, Work, and Economic Justice Clinic, serving as Co-Chair, and in the El Centro Education Rights Clinic. Through her clinic work, she supported workers in filing claims, navigating employment disputes, and accessing legal advocacy. She also served as a Submissions Editor for the UCLA Journal of Gender and Law, developing strong research and writing skills that now inform her legal practice.

During law school, Kaya gained hands-on experience in employment and civil rights matters through externships and other legal advocacy roles, including work connected to workplace discrimination matters. She also worked with legal services organizations providing direct support to low-income workers and vulnerable communities.

Before attending law school, Kaya was awarded a Boren Scholarship and spent a year in Senegal conducting research on human rights issues affecting women and girls. That experience deepened her understanding of the structural challenges faced by marginalized communities and continues to shape her thoughtful, client-centered approach to advocacy.

Kaya speaks French and Portuguese and is committed to ensuring that clients feel informed, supported, and respected throughout the legal process.
